			=FDM=

			FDM or Fused deposition modeling is the process of using a material, such as PLA plastic, formed into a long "string" and then melted to form layers of material that fuse together as they cool.

			The 3d Printers that are sitting in Tinkd Makerspace, Red and Dave, are both Prusa FDM Mk3 printers. These printers are of an open source design which allows us to make repairs, upgrades or modifications onsite. [[https://www.prusa3d.com/]]
